One More Night at Lake Powell

Fire on the beach tonight. The RV bhind us is abot 30 ft. from the waters edge. There's a group of rather loud Navajo next to us , sharing our fire at times , who may make it harder to fall asleep. We are precisely on the Utah border , right on the line.
We learned today from friends and observation that Lake Powell ls water level has, (my estimate) dropped 40 -50 feet because of a 10 year drought in the western Rockies watershed , and from increased consumption. Considering the size of this lake , that would calculate into a mind-boggling amount of water. There is a shower house far away up the hill that 's useless, now there is one down closer to the water. The namesake of this area , Lone Rock , a massive stone column, juts out of the water 2-3 times as far as in the recent past.
V & S just finished a late swim and are star-gazing into a sky so dense with stars that some sections seem to be dense patchy clouds of stars. My Navajo friend blames a coyote.
