I can't remember if I posted anything this morning. Long, luxurious days are a balm to the mind and time has warped. We've not been gone even three days yet though it feels much more.
We awoke in a distinctly cooler alpine climate in Flagstaff, AZ at the KOA, had a shower and breakfast, and headed north to our destination, Page, by 10. We'll not dwell on our first RV park and set-up but will remark that my profound respect for my brother and his family increased substantially.
We traveled up, and down, on Rt. 89 to a famous Indian trading post (tourist trap) at a very nice facility in what I thought was a matchless terrain of red cliffs, bluffs, peaks and rather roundish mounds. The "town " of Cameron. It's all reservations as far as I can tell and it was clear and disturbing to see the conditions in the lives of these people.

Wow, Bubba, what a description. As I sit here and type at 6:35am Mountain time and watch the sun lift over the mountains to the East, I find myself longing to be with you and see the things you are describing. We have been VERY close to where you are but gonna have to redo that trip 'cause in our hurry to get to the next revival I missed Page and Glen Canyon!
Keep up the good work. Your blog is a success! Tell Gus and Dana that "little Davy" said Hello.

Steve, did you really graduate from Waynesville? with descriptions like that you must have went on to school and got your masters somewhere. I'm in awe!!! Can't wait to hear from the kids how that first night at the campground went. They don't leave anything out.
